MEETTHEKITTIES

I have decided to show everyone the cats that are behind each of the Daily Horoscope Images on this site. I have called this the Meet The Kitties Series. I hope you enjoy reading this page as much as I have enjoyed writing it.

Meet The Kitties: The Backstory

Over the years, I have done a lot of cat rescue. I am not a full time cat rescuer, more like when the Cat Distribution System chooses me, and I have no room for anymore cats, I act as a bridge to ensure that the Cat I find goes to a reputable Cat Rescue Group (NOT THE SHELTER!). The Cat Rescue Groups I work with are vetted and have an extensive process for people to adopt any of the cats that I send to them, so I can be assured that the cats I rescue go to loving homes.

Aries Cat

BABYSPIDER
SPIDER
ARIES

The first Cat in the series is my cat Spider. I got her and her brother Theodore from when I used to work as a bus monitor. I gave her brother Theodore to my best friend, who still cares for him today. Spider is a whole cat of personality. She loves to bite my toes, bite my pants as I am still wearing them, and she does all of this while purring. She is a weird cat, because she also will not hesitate to hiss at you while purring. My daughter jokes that Spider has hot air coming out of both ends. Spider will literally hiss at you when you move her out of your spot that she knowingly took from you. Spider is a Black Cat as you can see, and when she was a baby, I couldn't resist not to put the red hourglass on her belly made out of construction paper, so that I can call her my little Black Widow Spider.

Taurus Cat

PIPSQUEAK
TAURUS

This is a cat I rescued that went to a Cat Rescue Group. I named her Pip Squeak. She was a loving little kitten that loved to purr the moment you picked her up. She was also a long haired cat, which literally meant that every time I picked her up, it was as if she birthed another whole cat on me because of how she sheds. If you know, you know! She was adopted into a loving home about a week after I gave her to the cat rescue group.

Gemini Cat

ORANGEBOY
GEMINI

This little Orange Boy Kitty I found while I was at my family's lake cabin by myself one summer. I heard tiny little cries and there he was. Initially, he tried to run away, but got stuck in the tree-house. It took only about an hour or two for me to tame him enough to bring him home. After he got tamed, as you can see, he turned into a Velcro kitty. He was adopted into a loving home after I gave him to the Cat Rescue Group.

Cancer Cat

HC
CANCER

This is my cat Hermit Crab. She was a grouchy little crabby cat, but she was my little grouchy crabby cat. Her personality was she will give you sandpaper kisses one minute and literally bite you as hard as she could the next, for none other reason than the grass is green, the sky is blue and today is whatever day of the week it is. She died of old age AT 11, but there's not a day that goes by that I don't miss her, and I figured the best way to honor her memory is to add her to the site permanently, so that she can live forever in the digital world.

Leo Cat

BABYDQ
DQ
LEO

This is a cat I rescued in the neighborhood I used to live in. I rescued her from underneath a car when she was a baby. Her name is Drama Queen, (DQ for short). There's a reason that she is utilized for the Leo Horoscope! She currently lives the good life with an owner who loves her and her Drama Queen Personality, though i She's calmed down a lot.

Virgo Cat

ARCHIMEDES
VIRGO

This is Archimedes. I rescued him when I lived in Athens. I then gave him to my father and my father loves him dearly. I named him Archimedes after the Owl in Sword in the Stone. Archimedes has a few things about his personality. He is a clingy Velcro Kitty, he loves to be loved on, and his meow is extremely loud. We are not talking about just loud, I'm talking about Def-con 11 Loud! Don't let his innocent looking face fool you for a minute, he will gladly steal your significant other away from you!

Libra Cat

BITSY
LIBRA

This is Bitsy. I rescued her back in July 2023. I was outside when I heard a pitiful meow. I followed the sound and I found this little Kitty. I ended up giving her to a neighbor and she's currently living the good life with an older sister named Lexi.

Scorpio Cat

NINJA
SCORPIO

This is Ninja. I named him Ninja because he literally would get next to a wall and jump up and bunny kick off the wall. This Boy Kitty is something else, always getting into something! He is currently living the good life with an owner that loves him and is constantly entertained by his antics.  There's a reason Ninja's Daily Horoscope Image has him with a pointy tail!

Sagittarius Cat

MERLIN
SAGITTARIUS

This is Merlin. I named him Merlin after the Wizard in Sword in the Stone. He was the playmate of Archimedes. Unfortunately he ended up dying of cancer. I miss him daily.

Capricorn Cat

ROSIE
ROSIE1
CAPRICORN

This is my cat Rosie. I found her 10 days after my cat Hermit Crab died. I firmly believe Hermit Crab sent Rosie to me in order to fill the void that Hermit Crab left when she had to cross the Rainbow Bridge. My daughter named her. Rosie as you can see has a lot of personality and as you can also see, Rosie loves her belly rubs and has no shame in how she gets her belly rubs. I swear I put her together the right way the first time when I got the assembly directions from IKEA, but I digress. Most mornings, Rosie still attacks my feet and bites my toes while I am trying to sleep.

Aquarius Cat

TUXEDO
AQUARIUS

This is Tuxedo Cat. He is a neighborhood Cat that everyone loves. He loves to be loved on and I get to hold him on occasion. He also loves to do things like bite your toes. I'm starting to sense a pattern here. His pose means he has no shame.

Pisces Cat

CALLIE
PISCES

This is my cat Callie. She was everybody's Cat. She was the sweetest cat ever to people. To other animals, she was a force to be reckoned with. She had no teeth but she did not let that stop her from putting many a cat and many a dog in their place if they chose to FAFO. Because she had no teeth, I could scratch the base of her tail and call her the leaky faucet or drippy faucet kitty, because she would start literally drooling in drips every time I would give her attention. She lived to the ripe old age of 15.
